MONTE CRISTO STYLE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE
Casserole This Monte Cristo style breakfast features melted pieces of ham and Swiss cheese. It deconstructs the now classic sandwich and reunites it in a truly delicious, easy baking sheet, all in one breakfast or grilled brunch.
A Monte Cristo is basically a fried ham & cheese sandwich (usually Swiss), and is a twist on the more traditional French croque-monsieur. These mostly savory sandwiches are often sprinkled with a little powdered sugar before serving, and are coated with preserved sides of raspberry fruit.
In short, this is the best cheese toasted breakfast you have ever eaten, with or without optional sugar and preservatives. Although, I highly recommend them to really get the full experience.

It's perfect for lunch, breakfast even for dinner. Easy enough for everyday, it's still quite tasty so you will be proud to present it to your company. material :
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups half & half, or full fat milk
- 1 1/2 tsp of Dijon mustard
- A pinch of nutmeg
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 6 glasses of French bread are rather stale
- 2 cups of ham dice
- 1 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
- optional powdered sugar, for decoration
- raspberry preservative, warmed to optional, for decoration
Instructions :
- Add eggs, half and half, mustard, nutmeg, and salt & pepper to a large bowl. Beat until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Add bread, stir until all bread is coated with eggs.
- Stir the ham and half the cheese until evenly distributed.
- Spray a little 8x8 pan with a non-stick spray. Then pour the egg mixture into the pan. Apply evenly. Spread the remaining cheese evenly on the plate.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, or until golden brown and the butter knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the casserole rest 2 minutes before slicing and coating. If using, sprinkle each slice with a small amount of powdered sugar that has been sifted. Drizzle with warm raspberries preserved, and serve immediately.
